On Tuesday 30th June, Cockle Bay students all participated in the CBS Cross Country at Howick College.
Over the past three weeks, we had been training by running round the CBS field at Fitness time:
First, the Year 3 girls, and then the Year 3 boys had to run the entire 1.4km course without stopping in very wet, muddy conditions.
| At first the girls seemed apprehensive . . . |
| . . . but with some encouragement, they were soon rearing to go! |
| As the Year 3 girls were the first group to race, Howick College students led the way around the course. |
| Howick College students ran with us the whole way and encouraged us when we tired. |
| Everyone was pleased to see the finish line come into view, with its gallery of proud parents and grandparents. |
We were all very proud of our achievements at the end of the course.
Back at school, we took turns to wash our feet and legs in our lovely warm spa.
. . . this is why!
