Wednesday, 9th December was the special day for Room 18 - it had a make over! Next time you see it, the walls will be a plain blue and the whiteboards will be glossy and clean as we prepare for the end of the school year. See if you like the difference: some people might say YES, while others might say NO.
Peter Rabbits coming out to play
Our clay rabbits are in the process of having their little blue coats fitted, just like Peter Rabbit in the Beatrix Potter stories.
Zoo Poems
After our trip to the zoo, we decided to write zoo animal poems instead of a recount about the day. It was fun to brain storm adjectives and verbs to describe our chosen animal and explain what they were doing.
When we had published our poems, we illustrated them with water coloured paintings. The animals are all bright and vibrant because we learned how to load the brush with plenty of colour.
Wacky Hair Day and School Disco
The school disco gave us a good reason the dress up as it was Wacky Hair Day as well. Everyone got into it, even the bears who usually just sit quietly in the library, waiting for a cuddle.
Some people even did gardening in crazy disco mufti!
