It was interesting to think back to the time when we were on lock down in Level 4, and think about the things we used to like to do at home. Everyone shared their ideas, and then we decided to make a statistical graph so it would be easier to see which activities we liked most.
| First, we brainstormed our lockdown activities, we had 13 categories. Next, everyone was given six unicubes which they had to place by the six activities they enjoyed the most. As we did this, the unicube towers got taller and taller. |
| Once, we had placed all our votes, we had to draw our bar graphs. We had to count the number of unicubes in each category and then colour in that number of squares on our graph. |
Kadence did a very clever thing and numbered each column, so that when she coloured the bar, she coloured the right number.
When we were finished, we read the bar graph and then wrote sentences to explain what the bar graph was telling us. We used statistical language such as 'same as', 'more than' and 'less than'. |
