Distance Learning for Week 6

Here is the Weka Team's Distance Learning Plan together with the email to parents for Week 6.

Some people were unable to access last week's plan, so I have uploaded screen shots here:

Dear Parents,

Here is this week's distance learning plan for the Weka Team - this week we have a space theme.

As you can see, it incorporates the whole week. This may not be needed depending on today's COVID-10 update at 1pm, but we thought it prudent to include Thursday and Friday. If we are back at school, students will be able to select SeeSaw activities in their discovery time.

As usual, I will break down tasks into step-by-step SeeSaw activities so they are easier to accomplish independently and so I can see them, comment and generally keep in touch with my class. Children have easy access to these, and I also upload them to our class blog for your reference.

In response to some parent queries about extra learning ideas for Maths, you might like to look on this NZ Maths site which has a 'families and whanau' section that suggests lots of ways you can share Maths with your child using everyday experiences such as cooking, recycling and watching sport.

Thank you for your on-going support,
Bridget
