Probably our most important news today, is the CBS news for week 2 of the holidays:
As you can see in the video, there is a school wide competition for the best creation. Email your entry (with your name, room number and photo) to Mrs Stansfield on cbsnews@cocklebay.school.nz. There will be a random prize draw of a box of goodies delivered to your door.
Room 18 has also been busy with its own competition, the scavenger hunt. In our Google Hangout, Sam, Charlotte, Eillie, Mia, Nathaniel, Kadin, Adam and Linsey all showed us the items they had found when they did their scavenger hunt. Nathaniel even broke an egg on his forehead to get Item (15) egg shell.
It is not too late to do the Scavenger Hunt! Go into SeeSaw to see the list of things you need to find. There is also a huge Easter word find, an Easter picture to colour with digital pens and a template for writing with (you guessed it!) Easter eggs.
If you are not sure how to get into SeeSaw, check out the SeeSaw email sent earlier, or ask Mum or Dad to email Mrs Bear. It is important that everyone has at least one go on SeeSaw before school starts so that you know how to use it when we are doing school work. Hurry! Hurry! Term 2 starts next week.
Here are the scavenger Hunt entries so far:
Lucas's scavenger hunt items
Linsey's scavenger hunt items
Sam's scavenger hunt items.
Liam's scavenger hunt items
Adam's scavenger hunt items
Charlotte's scavenger hunt items
Otis's scavenger hunt items
STOP PRESS: There are several more entries in the scavenger hunt coming up from Dimitri, Nathaniel, Isabelle, Kadin and Emma.
On our Google Hangout, Isabelle showed us the bird feeder she is making in her garage, and Adam showed us the cute little Easter Bunny he has made out of a recycled toilet roll and things from his craft bag.
Lucas also helped us celebrate Easter with his Easter bunny ears.
Mrs Bear has been busy colouring Easter eggs and setting up a hunt at the top of her drive way.
Other people have been busy colouring Easter eggs in the Easter Holiday Challenge#7 on SeeSaw. I will be emailing these to the Prime Minister after Easter.
