HIghlights from Friday's Learning

The most important thing about Friday is the CBS News - you can watch the video here or find it on the CBS FB page.

Entries in the Creative Competition from Adam, Charlotte, Dimitri and Sam were on the news - great work!  Mrs Stansfield announced another competition for next week, and Mr Dyer also had lots of sports challenges you can do at home against members of your family - so be sure to take a look!

End of the week Maths Whizz report:

This week, we went up from 10 to 21 students doing Maths Whizz - a fantastic result.  All those people progressed up at least one level.

Our top 10 students (by time spent doing Maths Whizz):
  1. Wilson
  2. Otis
  3. Dimitri
  4. Eillie
  5. Milan
  6. Kadence
  7. Lucas
  8. Abbey
  9. Josh
  10. Mia
Our top 4 students (by progressing up Maths levels):
  1. Otis
  2. Dimitri
  3. Eillie and Lucas (third equal)
When you look at these lists you can see that, if you do practice more often on Maths Whizz, you are more likely to progress and get better at Maths.

People also worked hard on the three set tasks for Friday.  Here is a snap shot of some of the work.

Here are some of the collections for 3D shapes with their labels:

Isabelle used kinetics to make her 3D shapes.

It was interesting to see the different ways people presented their special sandwich after listening to the book, 'Carla's Sandwich'.

Linsey cooked her sandwich in the microwave and ate it.  She says it was yummy!

Otis is even going to make this sandwich for his family!
The last challenge for the week was to make a potion,  Here are a few:

Wow!  What a way to finish the week - Friday drinks anyone?  (JUST JOKING!)
