Energy boost for secret Art Expo work

We have voted to keep our Art Expo work secret until it is on display in the hall, but we can share our secret energy boost!  Our art involves lots of colour, so what better way to re-generate our energy levels that m&ms in many different colours?

We organised ourselves into groups and each group made a rainbow of colours by placing m&ms around the edge of a petri dish filled with water.  It was interesting to see the colours run to make circular rainbows.  The sugar coating worked as a barrier so that the colours didn't merge and we could see count the number of fractions each petri dish was divided into.  Finally, we could eat the m&ms - by this time, wet and chocolatey with no crisp colour coating (but still delicious!)

First, watch the video!
