Room 18 is going to Hawaii!

On the last day of term, we decided to leave lockdown behind and go to Hawaii!  People brought their togs and beach things so we were ready to go.  First we set the heater up to beach temperature and got changed.

Flight CBS18 on the CBS Airlines whisked us to Waikiki Beach, but first we had to choose our seat and weigh our bags.  Mrs Bear's scales were not sensitive enough to weigh our bags, so we weighed ourselves with our school bags on our backs ready to board the plane - clever thinking! We measured the weight in kilograms, using a decimal point to show the number of kilograms.  We wrote the manifest for the pilots so they could see how much weight they were carrying on the plane.  Then we were off!

When we finally arrived, we were presented with a lei of flowers.  Some people also wore grass hula skirts.  It was time to stretch out and relax on the beach.  After that, it was time to learn the hula!  Check out our moves in these two videos . . .

Sunbathing and dancing make you very hot, so most people went for a quick dip in the surf before lunch,

After our refreshing swim, it was time for a picnic on the beach, before returning back to Cockle Bay School (just in time for the end of term!)
